Thanks, Joel! That was the idea.

It hit me at Westfest that I could produce four short shows each month much more easily than one big one, so I bounced the idea off a few podcasters and they all really liked it. So, now iDPN will be a short weekly look at three podcasts and either something from the forums or an interview - depending on whether or not I can hook up with anyone to get an interview.

Also, you may have noticed that the show is now "sponsored." We'll have to see how that works out.... :p

haven't had a chance to listen yet, even at 20 minutes....keep going to lunch when other's are around and they always sit with me even if i have my earbuds in and iPod out and am clearly listening to something....grrrr

i actually had to double check the length however (i frequently don't get full downloads) so i listened to the last 20 seconds to make sure it wasn't cutting off in the middle of a podcast clip or an interview :D

looking forward to listening :jump:

Thanks, tikichuck! It's actually a little less difficult to produce the show weekly. Instead of editing and chatting about a dozen podcasts in one show I just do three. Plus, the shorter show makes it an easier listen, and so far the feedback on the length has been 100% positive. Some weeks may be a bit longer, some a bit shorter, but around 20 minutes is where it should be most of the time.

Thanks again!

It's funny how that happens. For me it's usually when I'm on the phone or trying to pay close attention to something on TV and someone walks up and starts talking to me. Hello? The phone on my ear is an indication that I am involved in a conversation. Could this wait? Thank goodness for the DVR and pausing live TV!

Fun show Mark....though you sent me for a loop when Brian didn't say, "The podcast about the podcasts of the Disney Podcast Network".

The length of the show is nice....short but sweet.

Two things I realized about this particular show. 1) formost...Bob and I need to come up with a new bms promo. Some alittle more fresh I think. 2) I really like the sohrter shows too. The more podcasts that come out and I get....the less i am listening to all them long ones.
I like the (weekly/short) change Mark......fun show as always.

Mark, Enjoyed the show and I'm glad to hear you looking at a weekly format.Just a suggestion, so do with it what you want, but it would be nice to have a place for voicemails. Your show seems like it would lend itself nicely to that. Don't know how this fits in with trying to keep your shows short, but you obviously wouldn't have to feature all of them every week, just a few here and there for fillers. Also, wondering if I can find "the other green meat" in my local grocery store.

I'll check the budget to see if I can afford a voicemail line.... Oh boy, that was a good laugh!

The American Frog Ranchers Association is trying to get their product into all the major grocery chains, but right now the only place it's easy to find "the other green meat" is in Louisiana and southern Mississippi. In Louisiana there's stiff competition from the Alligator Farmer's Cooperative, but Frog is making leaps (sorry).

I've had interest from other sponsors and I'm setting up a rotating schedule to give each of them exposure, so you'll soon be hearing from other great businesses who know the value of the DPN listening audience!

I sure loved this episode. The interview was great and the snippits from westfest sure brought back great memories. I still remember during the banquet, you and Brian Sommer making the sarcastic comments during the drawing of the prize hunt. Brian saying a comment that got him the DF hat (which i can't recall the comment made right now). And your first impression of Fantasmic, that was great! :)

I miss ya a lot bud. The DPN sure would not be a great without you Mr. Mark. I am glad your taking of your family and that your taking care of things. And I apologize with your family tragedies. Those are no fun and I had to go through one last june when my cousin got killed in afghanistan. My prayers are always with you Mark. "Just remember what your old pal said, you got a friend in me."
